Do you have a story to share about how your female physiology influences the way that you manage your medical condition(s)? If the answer is yes, and you would like to write a blog post on my website, please email me at: info@heedherhealth.com.
Writing a blog post might be therapeutic for you, help others in a similar situation, and/or educate and inspire physicians/researchers/companies/etc. to better help females with your medical condition(s). The post would be public on this website and shared on my social media, and it could also be shared on your own social media as well. The post should be less than 1,000 words long and appropriate for this website. Some questions that could be answered in your blog post could be:
1. At what age were you diagnosed with your condition?
2. What were the emotions that you felt when you were diagnosed (if you remember)?
3. How did puberty affect the management of your condition or vice versa?
4. How does the menstrual cycle affect the management of your condition or vice versa?
5. How did being pregnant affect the management of your condition or vice versa?
6. How did menopause affect the management of your condition or vice versa?
7. What are some things that you wish your physician understood better about how your female physiology impacts the management of your condition or vice versa?
8. What are some questions or ideas you have about the relationship between female physiology and your condition that you wish was more researched?
9. What are some things that you think companies could do/invent to help make management easier for females with your condition?
10. How has your condition impacted other areas of your life?
11. How has your condition inspired you to do certain things that you normally would not have?
12. How has your condition shaped you as a person?
13. Do you have any tips or advice that you would like to give to females living with your condition?
You can request to remove your blog post from my website at any time by contacting me via my email above, and I will remove it as soon as I see the request and am able to. However, once it is posted online, I cannot guarantee that it can be scrubbed off of the internet entirely. I also have the right to remove it from my website at any time if I choose. I am happy to answer any further questions about this process and provide more details when you contact me via the email provided above.
By sharing your story, you can help fulfill the mission of my website: it is my hope that the lessons learned here will help shift the way female bodies are viewed and treated in the medical field and beyond. As various chronic illnesses are impacted by the menstrual cycle and ovarian hormones, “women are not small men,” (coined by Dr. Staci Sims, PhD), and we must Heed Her Health.
