Hello

My name is Aisha, and I am a 34 year old woman living with type 1 diabetes (t1d) and hypothyroidism. I am a medical copywriter living in California with my boyfriend and two cats. I love being active, writing, traveling, and learning about anything medical or health related. I am especially passionate about woman's health as it relates to chronic illnesses. It is my hope that the lessons learned here will help shift the way female bodies are viewed and treated in the medical field and beyond. As various chronic illnesses are impacted by the menstrual cycle and ovarian hormones, “women are not small men,” (coined by Dr. Staci Sims), and we must Heed Her Health.
